The Pastime
Weblog for Grassroots
History
The Pastime is the weblog for the seminar. We use it to submit reviews and remarks about our readings; to make announcements; to talk about the research we are doing; and to pursue whatever other discussions in the history of the Great Plains we might wish to pursue. As soon as a new member of the seminar is registered, Prof. Isern adds that person to the weblog. This results in an automated message to the student from Blogger, the host of the weblog. Follow the link and instructions, and you’ll become a member of the blog. Then you can post to it, introducing yourself, and moving on to seminar discussion. This means you will have an active Blogger account. To post to the blog, go to blogger.com and log in. The transactions of the weblog are framed into the home page of the seminar, always visible there. Please make yourself a profile in Blogger, so that others in the seminar can use it for reference to know who you are. Any difficulties, with this, get me on the phone (701-799-2942) and we’ll work through them. |
